Could you eat all the steak and bacon of your dreams and still lose weight?
What is the carnivore diet?
People on the carnivore diet eat only meat and animal products, and avoid all plant foods.
Most proponents of the diet recommend getting the majority of calories from fat, not protein, which means choosing fattier cuts of meat.
The carnivore diet will likely put you in ketosis. By eliminating all plant-based foods, you remove carbohydrates, forcing your body to burn fat for fuel instead of glucose. Because it is a zero-carb approach focusing entirely on animal products, it functions as an extreme, automatic version of the ketogenic diet.
Adepts of the lion diet eat only meat from herbivores.
Selecting grass-fed beef from Ferme d'ORée on a carnivore diet maximizes nutrient density and optimizes health benefits by providing higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), and vitamins A and E compared to grain-fed beef.
While processed meats are usually not recommended, you can safely eat Ferme d'ORée sausages, since we do not use any additives.
