We absolutely love horses but we also find that horse meat is at least as good as grass-fed beef in every dimension we care about: taste, nutritional value, sustainability, animal welfare, food safety, and price. This is of course because horses are not raised for food, and that is precisely the reason why some people object. We do understand that too. The export industry is a complete mess, but that is not us.
